Why Hotel Xcaret, Mexico is a perfect resort for almost everyone

I just returned from a conference that I attended at the Hotel Xcaret in Playa del Carmen. This resort is unique from any other resort in the Cancun area. It is not only an all-inclusive resort for adults and families, but also gives you access to experience Xcarets eight nature parks. Each park is unique and admission to all the parks including your meals at the park, are included.

Where is Hotel Xcaret?- You fly into Cancun Intentional airport. The resort is about an hours drive south of the airport. Once you arrive at the airport, you will be met by the transfer team, as you get to enjoy a complimentary ride to the resort.

The design of the hotel is very unique. Coves, rivers, caves and forests are located throughout the resort. A number of swinging bridges connect the buildings, as well as from one area to another. A river flows throughout the property, and you can kayak or paddle board. Restaurants are carved into the rock and there are coves where you can get away and relax.

On your arrival at the resort, you are welcomed with a cool towel and a popsicle and assisted with your check in. Each guest is provided with a color coded wrist band. Kids are given a different color band from the adults. Guests staying in the adult’s only area and the spa buildings, have a different colored band. This wrist band serves as your room key as well as entrances and meal services at all of the parks that you visit

Hotel Xcaret pays tribute to the Mayan region. All of the suites are located across various buildings known as Casas, each one representing a natural element, which is of great significance to the Mayan culture. All the suites are designed so that no matter where you stay you are connected to nature. The rooms are designed beautifully with all of the furnishing being locally made. If they were unable to find things locally, they went out to neighboring communities to obtain the materials. The lamps and all the furnishings in the rooms are exquisite. There are two hammocks on each balcony, which was heavenly to just relax there.

The resort provides family friendly experiences but it also caters to couples and singles who prefer a great adult only experience. The Casa Fuego offers adult only suites with their own restaurant and roof top pool.

So, what is included? Your suite accommodations, admissions, shuttles to all the Eco Parks, round trip transportation to the airport, all your meals & beverages including premium spirits at all the restaurants. Restaurant HA, a Michelin starred chef restaurant, has an additional charge.

I found that during the day, the hotel is fairly empty. Everyone heads to the various parks to spend the day. This is a great time to find a hammock and enjoy your rest.

You not only get the luxurious resort with great food and beverages, but you also get access to all the parks, which in itself will save you hundreds of dollars.

Let’s all say this together! Stand up and place your hand over your heart….

We resolve to...
 ...take any and all vacation time we've earned...and steal whatever extra days off we can.
 ...go someplace new in 2019, instead of returning to the old tried and true go to vacation destinations.
 ...consciously unplug for longer and longer stretches when we travel.
 ...see time off for travel as a right, not a luxury; so we can rest, recharge, rejuvenate and reignite our passions being more creative, loyal and productive people.
 ... NOT do last minute "guilt" souvenir shopping at the airport shop on the way home.
 ...take better pictures--but not so many that we forget to see what is in front of us.
 ...buy quality travel gear and take less of it.
 ...learn something new in each place we go about the culture, language, cuisine, politics, history and religion.
 ...turn strangers in strange lands into our friends.
 ...integrate travel more into our lives, as we have with a good diet, exercising regularly and sleeping right. Travel is good for us in so many ways, be it physically, mentally and spiritually
 ...be more patient dealing with the trials and tribulations of traveling -- be they TSA lines, surly customer service airline reps, over-packed late flights, noisy hotel rooms, boorish fellow travelers or screaming babies.
